Tim Glemkowski, executive director of the National Eucharistic Congress, commended the MDM and the World Apostolate of Fatima for agreeing to carry out pilgrim statue processions of Our Lady of the Cape and Our Lady of Fatima respectively. In a letter, he stated both processions “will visibly demonstrate Our Blessed Mother’s accompaniment of this Eucharistic Revival journey the Church is undertaking collectively.”

Who is Our Lady of the Cape?

In 1867, a priest discovers a pig chewing on a rosary. What he does next transforms the dying parish into a National Shrine with two canonical crownings  and a million pilgrims in 1954 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception. Our Lady of the Cape is fashioned after the Miraculous Medal. (Formally known as the Medal of the Immaculate Conception)

What did Fr. Luc Desilets do?

He began in earnest enrolling souls in the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary. Within 5 years he had enrolled 3000! Our Lady granted many favours and Canada's National Marian Shrine was born.

This model adopted by the Marian Devotional Movement at Canada's National Marian Shrine, is now, with the authorization of the Dominicans, being replicated through other significant shrines. It is the work of renewing the universal prayer of the Church unleashing a torrent of grace for the conversion of souls.
